Bittium Tough VoIP Service™
Distributed VoIP service network for tactical communications
Resilient Voice Service for Mobile Troops
Bittium Tough VoIP Service creates a highly resilient digital voice service that is designed for mobile tactical environments. It is a truly distributed solution, which means that a loss of a single element in a central role will not cripple the service and any node in the system is capable of claiming that role.
Tough VoIP Service rapidly adapts to changes in the network, and the network can be split or merged while maintaining the service available for all clients that are accessible. When network islands merge with the network, the clients will have core network connection automatically.
The server entity is typically installed on each network router node such as Bittium TAC WIN Tactical Router™, Bittium Tough Comnode™ or Bittium Tough SDR™ radios. Each one of the servers can work independently providing local VoIP service to local users. Full set of tactical features can be provided without being dependent on any centralized service beyond the local router.
